Kings Cross Station Redevelopment

Multi disciplinary project to construct a new platform under Kings Cross Station, Eastern Range building.

Works included bulk excavation and undermining of the Kings Cross Station. Construction of the new concrete track slab, new platform, refurbishment of existing brick work and steel frame, installation of new OLE and signals, installation of new P-Way to connect into existing track.

We were appointed to provide planning management and sub contractor management, responsible for the safe delivery of this project on time. As well as taking responsibility for planning the sequence of works we also took responsibility for the management some of the key packages including the new and heritage brick works package, new steelwork package and all decorative finishes packages. This site was flanked by live railway on two sides and the busy Euston and York road on the other two sides. We were further constrained by occupied office directly above the side. This resulted in a logistically very complex site, which placed greater emphasis on accurate programme management to insure all activities were co-ordinated with our interfacing 3rd party companies.
